BGA and FBGA packages
Balls instead of leads, so the camera does all the work. The numbers that matter are the ball pitch, ball size and the A1 corner.
The numbers you program
- Body size
- Ball pitch
- Ball diameter
- Ball grid and depopulated balls
- A1 corner
Mistakes to watch
- A1 corner rotated
- Bag left open: BGAs are often MSL 3 or higher
- Ball size taken from another package size
Each of these has a check in PnP Toolkit. See the test results on the proof page.
